If you are feeling like
You are unable to fight back in an argument situation. You think that if you show your feelings it is a sign of weakness.  You are afraid of what other people might think. You feel that you have to deal with your feelings or problems on your own because "no one else will understand
The impact of such feelings on your life may be like
You can become crabby to be around & start snapping at other people for no reason. You get to a stage where you have bottled up your feelings to the point you "explode" - often the victims are loved ones, friends, co-workers. You turn to escapism (alcohol, cigarettes, drugs) for short term solutions, to avoid confronting your feelings. You become depressed and numb and don't know how to get out of the situation. Often the pent up feelings will manifest themselves physically in the form of diseases and can make you very ill. Some people commit suicide because they see no other way out.

If you are unsure whether to consult with a relationship counselor or not, so we'd like to think that our forum is the first port of call for any problem, but not necessarily a substitute for professional help.
